I hope during the course of the Summit we are able to address social determinants of health for gay men of color.  Most interventions that are implemented to address health issues for LGBT populations fail to consider the social, economic, and environmental contexts in which they are delivered.  This is even more the case for gay men of color.

For the past four years, we have successfully held a a regional event, called the LGBTQ Meaningful Care Conference designed to build/increase LGBTQ cultural competency among area medical, social service and other allied health providers.

Trying to put together a panel of folks to talk in a workshop about self-care/sustaining through the work we do.  I'm hoping for diversity in terms of geography/type of work/age/race/gender/orientation.
